We are honored to welcome Makeda Armorer-Wade as a guest speaker at the 2nd Annual Health, Wealth, Tech Conference. Makeda is a dynamic and influential leader, renowned for her expertise in managing life as a Crohn's Warrior. With over 30 years of experience battling Crohn's disease, she has transformed her personal journey into a source of inspiration and practical guidance for others facing similar challenges.

Makeda’s journey with Crohn's disease began at the age of 16, and since then, she has become a two-time #1 Best Selling Author, sharing her story and strategies for living, surviving, and thriving with this debilitating condition. Her experience has taught her to tame the beast that is Crohn's, and she is passionate about teaching others to do the same. One of her significant contributions is the development of a full wheat, corn, yeast, and dairy-free diet, including innovative ways to make breads and desserts, providing alternative food sources for those with similar dietary restrictions.

Holding a Master’s in Human Services Administration and an MSW with a Specialization in Children and Family Counseling, Makeda has dedicated over 25 years to the field of Social Services. Her commitment to giving back is evident in her work, including founding Mentors on the Move, Inc. in 1999. Through this non-profit, she mentors and coaches young women on various issues, promoting her philosophy of “Taking the Best and Leaving the Rest.”

Currently, Makeda serves as a Curriculum Developer, having written over 15 curricula, and as the Chief Strategist at Chiron Enterprises. Her passion for teaching has led her to positions as an online Instructor for the University of Phoenix, an Instructor at Fordham University, and a Trainer. Her dedication to education and mentorship is also reflected in her membership and executive board role at GAYAP Incorporated, where she participates in fundraising efforts to support orphanages internationally.

Makeda's strong faith has been a cornerstone of her triumph over Crohn’s disease. She is a proud wife and mother to three talented young men, Jason, Jaron, and Jafari. Her story is one of resilience, faith, and unwavering commitment to helping others.
